Pottery Foundation: Level 2

This course enables students to practice and refine the teaching learned on Foundation level 1.

Pottery is a craft discipline and demands lots of practice. The course allows the time to make that happen.

Students at this stage can concentrate on hand building, wheel throwing or both.

You will work with tutorial support to develop and refine your pottery skills. You will lean new techniques and creative approaches and you will and learn to use the studio equipment necessary to prepare and recycle your own clay.

Once you have completed this course you can seek studio membership or drop in for day or weekend independent practice sessions in the pottery.

You can also progress on to our Intermediate or SQA certificated pottery courses.

Your work will be ready for collection three weeks after your last class. This gives us time to dry and glaze fire your work. Due to current Covid restrictions, please see our website for collection dates and times.

Foundation level 2 classes are in eight week blocks and cost £270 with materials and firing costs included.
