This course is delivered two hours per week over eight weeks and teaches students the pottery fundamentals.

You will learn to make, decorate and prepare for firing a variety of hand built and wheel thrown pots and vessels. You will make a range of Pinch pots, Coil pots, Slab pots and Wheel thrown pots and vessels.

The course concentrates on developing pottery techniques and creative approaches to practice. The classes are focused but great fun and you can make both functional and sculptural forms.

You will learn the pottery fundamentals starting with the properties of clay, wheel throwing and hand building techniques, decorating techniques, firing processes and safe studio working practices. The eight weeks gives time for everyone to make, decorate and prepare for firing lots of pots and vessels.

Your work will be ready for collection three weeks after your last class. This gives us time to dry and glaze fire your work. Due to current Covid restrictions, please see our website for collection dates and times..

This is our most popular course with great feedback
The course costs £270 per person. Materials and firing costs are included.
